1. Data controller

Worbi-branded apps and services are operated by Mario Herrera, an individual based in Alajuela, Costa Rica. For privacy questions, contact privacy@worbi.app.

2. Scope and roles

This policy applies to Worbi Clubs, its mobile apps, web services, and this website. Clubs using Worbi Clubs control the member information they enter. Worbi acts as their technology provider and processes that information on the club's instructions.

3. Data we collect

Account and profile data

• Name, email address, and optional phone number.
• Password, stored securely and never in plain text.
• Profile photo and club role, such as player, guardian, coach, or administrator.

Club operational data

• Member, player, guardian, and coach records, including contact details, categories, and status.
• Sessions, attendance, announcements, and other club records.
• Fees, payments, and account-statement status.

Technical and diagnostic data

• Device identifiers, device type, operating system, and app version.
• IP address, connection data, activity logs, errors, and crash reports.

Where an external payment provider processes a payment, Worbi does not store full card details. We retain only the payment status necessary to provide the service.

4. How we use data

• Create and manage accounts and authenticate users securely.
• Provide club-management features, including people, sessions, attendance, fees, payments, and communication.
• Deliver operational notifications and service-related communications.
• Provide support, protect the service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal duties.
• Improve reliability and develop service features.

We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

5. Sharing and international transfers

We share data only with service providers needed to operate Worbi under confidentiality and security obligations. This includes infrastructure and database services (such as Supabase), Apple and Google services for push notifications, payment providers when payments are processed, and authorities where required by law. Data is also available to the organization you belong to within Worbi. Providers may process data outside your country; reasonable safeguards are applied where applicable.

6. Retention and security

We keep data while an account is active or as needed to provide the service. When deletion is requested, personal data is deleted or anonymized unless legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security obligations require retention for a defined period. We use technical and organizational safeguards including encryption in transit, role-based access, backups, and audit logging. No system can be completely risk-free.

7. Your rights and account deletion

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, or restriction of processing. Email privacy@worbi.app. You can also delete your account in the app or follow the instructions at Delete account and data.

8. Children

Sports clubs may manage data about minors. Worbi does not directly collect data from children; club administrators enter it and are responsible for obtaining the required parent or guardian consent. We limit processing to what is necessary for sports or administrative management and do not direct advertising to children.

9. Website technologies

This website uses only cookies or local storage that are strictly necessary for its operation. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

10. Changes and contact
